About and Vision

Vision ICSA ( ‘ike-suh’) is a modern facility, methodology, and pedagogy that aims to create well-balanced martial artists. As staff members, we are committed to making a fun and safe environment where all feel welcome, and where effort is met with progress.

About Indian Combat Sports Academy is the first Mixed Martial Arts gym in South India, and the first school with a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu curriculum in the whole of India. Our goal is to have an year-round active fight team.  Even if you don’t compete, our program will get you fit, and give you skills you can immediately apply to a self-defense situation. We are located in Bangalore, Karnataka in BTM Layout. Please click on “Location” for further details. Please take a look at the Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, and Mixed Martial Arts pages to learn more.

  1. If you’re really serious about BJJ, Kickboxing and MMA… ICSA is the place to be.. I can measure mahself i’ve improved phenomenally in just 1 month… I really like Eliots classes especially circuits and i never miss fRiday classes…!!!

  2. It is the place where really you can learn BJJ, Kickboxing and MMA…..and you will get out of it. it is the place where you see difference. …Huge changes in 2 months…………Friday I love that …I never try to miss it………..

  3. No Time pass Only learning ……. 🙂

  4. I’ve been training here for a few days so far and have been very satisfied. The instructors here have a lot of technical knowledge and will track the progress of individual students. There’s a very structured curriculum that’s implemented consistently. There also a good balance between instruction, conditioning, and sparring. This place welcomes students of various skill levels the fact that it opens 7 days a week is a plus!

I have been training here for the last 3-4 months in Kick Boxing and BJJ and I must tell you that this place is brilliant. The trainers know their stuff! They have got mad skills and I am sure some of it will rub off on me. Very friendly, make you feel comfortable and they coax that extra 10% after you have already given your 100%.

My wife and me joined ICSA with the intention only to keep fit and not with the intention to participate in fights. If someone thought that the intention of joining a kickboxing, MMA, Jiu Jitsu & Wrestling is fighting, please visit the ICSA dojo. Both Elliot and Rama take great interest not only in teaching the correct but also the safe techinque to fight and keep yourself fit. A regular log is maintained for students so that both trainers can track the progress the trainees have made. Depending on your need i.e keeping fit or learning and participating in fights the progression of your training is decided. The best part of the workout is definately the warmups and the circuit. Unfortunately, I am no more a part of the training as I have relocated, but to anyone who is skeptical of joining such an academy, take a trial class and I am more than sure you will sign up. All the best ICSA, cheers!!!

The recent tournament “Sub Continentals, India’s First Submission Wrestling Tournament” organized by ICSA was a great experience and helped all the upcoming grapplers to test their skills against other styles. We should have more events like this because the more we have the better we become.
I want to congratulate the entire team of ICSA for organizing such a great tournament.
Looking forward for many more tournaments…
    God Bless

  9. I came to visit Bangalore on business from the US after having trained in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for 3 years and TaeKwonDo for 11. While I was there I trained at ICSA and saw a young school with a lot of dedicated students and welcoming instructors. I always recommend training in Jiu Jitsu to anyone, but I would recommend this school even in the states. I had a great time and I miss you guys.

  10. Came down to Bangalore for business and needed a good gym to continue my MMA training. These guys are awesome, their dedication, love and passion for the sport is second only to their desire to be and help others be great. If you are an expat in town looking for a place to continue your training, this is it. If you are new to the sport and want to get started this is the place to be!

  11. Ahh thats right , this site is how i found ICSA …. but to anyone looking to learn a martial arts discipline this is the place . I joined this gym at the last semester of my graduate studies, my only regret : not finding this place during my first years.
